My name is Jeff Chorman, and I am excited to announce my candidacy for the second at-large seat on the Delaware Electric Cooperative board. As a lifelong resident of Milton and a proud graduate of Cape Henlopen High School, I have deep roots in our community.

There appears to be a certain illogical resistance to creating an independent Office of the Inspector General by some members of the Delaware General Assembly.

A “food desert” is defined as an urban area where it is difficult to buy affordable or good-quality fresh foods. Do such places exist in Delaware? If so, where? What can be done to eliminate them? If you have trouble finding or purchasing fresh goods, how do you compensate? Is it worth a drive to a farther location or do you take what you can get nearby?

What has become of the Supreme Court, specifically Justices Clarence Thomas and Samuel Alito? These two individuals bring dishonor to “the court.”

Delaware is embarking on an ambitious plan to reach net-zero emissions of carbon dioxide by 2050 and reduce emissions by half by 2030. The legislature has already begun to propose draconian measures to achieve this goal, including House Bill 99, passed in 2023, which blames carbon dioxide for potentially disastrous climate change.

All six media conglomerates that control over 90% of media sources in America repeatedly highlight the nation’s division without offering solutions. They all wave the American flag, exhibit varying degrees of faith and claim that their values will make you a better American and lead you to the pearly gates.
