Erica Joseph honored as Sunrise Rotarian of the Year

The Salisbury Sunrise Rotary Club recently named Erica Joseph as Rotarian of the Year.

The Rotarian of the Year Award provides the Salisbury Sunrise Rotary Club with an opportunity to publicly recognize one of its members who best exemplifies Rotary’s motto of “Service above Self”, the ideals of the Rotary Four-Way Test, a true spirit of volunteerism, and community leadership through participation in Rotary committees, programs, and activities.

Rotarian Erica JosephJoseph joined the Sunrise Club in 2010 and has been pivotal in the coordination of several events, such as the Junior Golf and the Masquerade Ball, as well as serving as the Fundraising Chair from 2013-2014.  She also played an instrumental role in establishing the club’s 501(c)3 this year.

 The honoree has been with the Community Foundation of the Eastern Shore since 2003 and currently serves as Vice President of Community Investment, responsible for coordinating the Foundation’s development, philanthropic services, grants and program functions.

She serves as a volunteer for Junior Achievement, the Maryland Community Foundation Association, and the Delmar PTA.

She lives in Delmar with her husband, Jeremy and son, Andrew.

The Rotary Club of Salisbury — Sunrise, locally known as the Salisbury Sunrise Rotary Club was chartered in 1993.

The club’s mission is to embody the 4-Way test of Rotary within both local and international communities by providing service to others with a primary focus on literacy, youth and health.
