Market Street Inn wins ‘Taste of the Town’

Market Street Inn was crowned the winner of the Iron Chef Competition at the 7th Annual Taste of the Town hosted by the Salisbury Area Chamber of Commerce’s Young Professionals.

Taste of the Town was held last month at Delmarvalous Occasions in the City Center building downtown.

“Taste of the Town has been a great event put on by the Salisbury Young Professionals for seven years as an engaging way to showcase of Chamber member restaurants,” said Director of Media and Public Relations at SACC, Sophia Smecker.

“It has also become a very successful networking event for the Salisbury Young Professionals and an outlet for the group to highlight their mission.”

Nine Chamber-member restaurants competed for the best dish. The event had more than 150 attendees with entertainment, beverages and desserts provided.

Brad Gillis of Sperry Van Ness, Salisbury Apartments, Dry Tek and Comcast Spotlight were this year’s sponsors.

The Young Professionals of the SACC is a network of the membership division of the Salisbury Area Chamber of Commerce that provides opportunities to young professionals for networking, community outreach, and personal and professional development, thereby supporting the overall mission of the SACC.
