20-year-old Bivalve man killed in a car crash

A 20-year-old Bivalve man was killed in a single-car accident Sunday in Mardela Springs, according to the Wicomico County Sheriff’s Office.

Jack Edward Morris was killed after the truck he was driving in the 7100 block of Athol Road hit a tree at 4:44 p.m., according to Lt. Tim Robinson, who handles public relations for the Sheriff’s Office.

Morris was taken to Peninsula Regional Medical Center, where he died, Robinson said.

Nobody else was in the truck. Robinson said it appears speed was a factor.

The investigation is being conducted by the Sheriff’s Office’s Collision Reconstruction Unit. Anyone with information is asked to call 410-548-4891.
