Personnel from Mardela Springs Volunteer Fire Company, Maryland State Police, Hebron Volunteer Fire Department and Salisbury Fire Department were called to the scene of a single-vehicle crash Route 50 eastbound, just west of Old Railroad Road in Hebron.

Four victims were transported to Peninsula Regional Medical Center, including two juveniles.

The State Police reconstruction team is investigating the wreck that had Route 50 shut down for over an hour, while rescue workers freed the victims.

The Toyota Land Cruiser was traveling on Route 50 when it left the roadway, stuck a culvert and then launched into a tree about 30 feet in the air, before landing on its roof.
