Police seek public’s help in March 9 shooting probe

Salisbury Police continue to investigate a shooting that occurred March 9.

Police said they responded to the 900 block of Price Road at 7:10 p.m. for a report of a shooting. Initially, police were called to assist the sheriff’s office, whose deputies were meeting with a victim who said he was shot in the leg, police said.

A combined investigation by the sheriff’s office and Salisbury police determined the victim was uncertain of the order of events in his report. He said he walked north through the Lake Street playground toward Booth Street and, when he heard gunshots as he was crossing Booth Street, began to run toward Collins Street.

He told police he was hit once in the leg and ran. He was taken from Price Road to Peninsula Regional Medical Center where he was treated and released, police said.

Police are asking the public to call the police department if they have additional information.
