Community Players take stage Friday night

The one-act play “Love, Loss and What I Wore,” by Nora Ephron and Delia Ephron, a Community Players of Salisbury production, opens Friday.

In celebration of International Women’s Month, Community Players, in conjunction with the Salisbury Wicomico Arts Council, is offering the play, described as funny, touching and produced by women.

“Love, Loss and What I Wore” is a 90-minute collection of monologues and ensemble pieces about women, clothes and memory covering subjects including mothers, prom dresses, mothers, buying bras, mothers, hating purses and why some women only wear black.

Based on the bestselling book by Ilene Beckerman, the PG-13 production is directed by Robin Finley. Sharon Benchoff is technical director.

Shows will be Friday, March 8, at 7 p.m. at St. Peter’s Fellowship Hall on the Salisbury Plaza; Friday, March 15, at 7 p.m. at SWAC; Saturday, March 30, at 2 p.m. at SWAC; and Saturday, April 27 at 2 p.m. at the University of Maryland Eastern Shore.

Tickets cost $10 each.
