Operation We Care collecting supplies for troops

This month we celebrate Veteran’s Day and Operation We Care, a Delmarva-based nonprofit organization, uses Veterans Day as a catalyst to reach out to our troops around the world protecting the home front.

OWC has sent more than 7,000 care packages to our local fighting men and women and before Christmas we hope to sent 600 more. But we need your help, your donation of a piece of home to send to our deployed military family.

Please consider making a donation of items we can include in care packages, and drop them off at any branch of the Sussex County Federal Credit Union, Rommel Harley-Davidson Delmarva in Seaford, Johnny Janosik World of Furniture in Laurel and Dover and Minuteman Press Salisbury.

Other drop-off locations, as well as a complete list of suggested donations, may be found by visiting operationwecare.org. Items include body wash, Chef Boyardee canned poptop pasta, Granola bars, Hot chocolate, Instant oatmeal pop tarts and more.

For more information, please visit operationwecare.org. If you have a loved one who is deployed, or is going to soon deploy, contact Jeff Merritt at 410-713-8940.
