Photo Gallery: Saylor-Remo Retirement Party

Delmar Police Chief Hal Saylor and his career-long colleague, Delmar Police Lt. Robert Remo, were feted with a Retirement Celebration Saturday, Aug. Aug. 29, at the home of Dr. Bart and Gayle Quillin in Mardela Springs.

The event was attended by current and former Delmar Police Department members, as well as dignitaries including Delegate Chris Adams, Wicomico State’s Attorney Matt Maciarello,  Wicomico Sheriff Mike Lewis, state Sen. Addie Eckardt and Delaware state Rep. Timothy Dukes.

Saylor has been Delmar’s chief for 31 years, since 1984, and joined the force in 1982. Remo joined the department in 1988 and had long said he would retire when Saylor departed. Saylor’s official retirement was July 7; Remo retired one week later.
