Christmas Parade is Sunday on East Main Street

The Salisbury Jaycees will host the 71st annual Salisbury Christmas Parade, presented by Courtesy Chevrolet and Mountaire Farms, at 2 p.m. this Sunday

The parade route remains the same as in recent years, beginning at the intersection of Civic Avenue and Mount Hermon Road, continuing to East Main Street and ending at Wicomico Middle School. The judges’ stand is located near the fountain in City Park.

This year’s theme is “Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree.”

The grand marshal is Gary Beauchamp, recently retired Wicomico County Public Schools fine arts supervisor. Nearly 100 entries are expected, including floats, marching bands, area fire departments, Scout troops, animal units and elected officials.

Sunday, Dec. 10, is the rain date.
