Coffee With Your Council rescheduled to Aug. 20

The public is invited to the Salisbury City Council’s third Coffee With Your Council on Wednesday, Aug. 20.

Council members will have coffee and light refreshments with residents at 6:30 p.m. at Parker Place Building, 232 West Main St., and talk with them about their concerns.

Kim Nichols, city clerk, said this will be the third Coffee With Your Council event. It was originally scheduled for this Wednesday, but was postponed to next month.

At the first one in November last year, and the second in February, about 40 people attended and discussed crime, the street sweepers’ schedule, young people in the city, cleanup day, plans for downtown and similar topics in an informal setting.

“It is all citizen-driven,” Nichols said, adding there is no agenda.
