At noon on Saturday, the 700-foot Wetipquin Bridge was formally named for former Wicomico County Councilman Ed Taylor. The 84-year-old retired educator and author has kept an eye on that structure, and on the water beneath, since his youth, when his uncle was tender of the old Wetipquin Ferry. The event drew the who’s who of county politics, as well as a lifetime of friends and family members.
