Photo Gallery: Tim Kennard River Run and Rob’s Run For Kids

The annual Tim Kennard 10-Mile River Run and 5K Run-Walk was held Sunday, March 24.

In memory of Kennard, who died from kidney cancer in March 2004, leaving a 7-year-old son, the annual event benefits children and animals, as Kennard requested.

Beneficiaries this year are Coastal Hospice, to help grieving children cope with the loss of loved ones; Horizons Salisbury, which provides support, education and hope to children from economically disadvantaged families; and Coalition of Caring, a fund for animals.

On Saturday, March 23, Rob’s Run For Kids — a free event that featured distances for children ages 2 to 10 — was held in Downtown Salisbury
