Plaque unveiled to honor coaching great Charlie Berry

A plaque was dedicated Saturday, Sept. 17, at Wicomico County Stadium and Coach Charlie Berry Field to honor the late great football coach who made a difference in the lives of so many high school athletes in the Salisbury community.

Family members and friends dedicated the memorial, including from left, the coach’s sons, Frank Berry and John Berry; Bob Sample; and Ronnie Jones. In the second row from left are M.P Minton, Bill Wyatt, Bruce Bozman, Coach Butch Waller and Tony Sarbanes.
