Lone Star Rodeo celebrates 20th year in Salisbury

Celebrate the Lone Star Rodeo Company’s 20th anniversary at the Wicomico Youth & Civic Center, as they bring the Bulls, Broncs & Barrels Tour, presented by Cheerwine, to Salisbury on Friday and Saturday.

The Saturday show is brought to you by Bryan & Brittingham.

Doors open at 6:30 p.m. Prior to the competition, boys and girls ages 10 & under are invited to the arena floor to take part in the Best Dressed Cowboy/Cowgirl Contest and Kid’s Gold Rush. Rodeo events get under way at 7:30 p.m. including bareback bronc riding, saddle bronc riding, cowgirls barrel racing and brahma bull riding. Rodeo clown Mike Wentworth will also be on hand to entertain the crowd.

Tickets for the event are on sale now. To celebrate the rodeo’s 20th anniversary at the WY&CC, reserve seats are just $20. General admission seats are $17 for adults and $13 for children ages 12 & under. Additional taxes and/or fees may apply to all ticket purchases. Tickets may be purchased online at WicomicoCivicCenter.org, by phone at 410-548-4911 or in person at the box office.

The Lone Star Rodeo Company is a family-run operation based in Crofton, Ky. The family tradition of top-notch stock and competition pageantry and family entertainment has been carried on for the past 39 years by Preston Fowlkes Jr. The family commitment continues into the next generation as the entire family works side by side producing over 40 events annually.
