Rock & Roll Revival begins Friday at James M. Bennett

It may be winter, but it’s almost time to enjoy the “Best Summer Ever.” The James M. Bennett High School Rock & Roll Revival will showcase the sounds of summer in seven “Best Summer Ever” shows at the JMB Auditorium, Feb. 7-9 and 13-16.

Shows will be at 7 p.m. Friday, Feb. 7 and Saturday, Feb. 8, and at 2 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 9, and 7 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 13, Friday, Feb. 14 and Saturday, Feb. 15, and 2 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 16. Tickets are $20 for the weekend shows, $15 for the Thursday night show. Almost all shows will sell out, so plan to secure your tickets now.

Rock & Roll Revival is a 22-year tradition at James M. Bennett High School, and music fans come from all over Delmarva to enjoy the show. Students sing, dance, play in the band, and work in many areas behind the scenes to put on this highly successful show at the JMB Auditorium. Show directors are Dory and Bob Hayman. More than 135 students are involved, and many staff members and parents also take part in making the show a success. Net proceeds benefit the JMB PTSA, which puts the proceeds to great use to support the entire school.

The cast and crew of JMB Rock & Roll Revival are excited to be putting on two school shows on Thursday, Feb. 6, for students from seven elementary schools in Wicomico County Public Schools. Students seeing the 9:30 a.m. show will enjoy Act I, while those at the 12:30 p.m. show will see Act II. These audiences are packed with enthusiastic young music fans who may someday be on the Rock & Roll Revival stage themselves. After each show, cast and crew line the way to the exits to show their appreciation to the elementary students for being a great audience.
