Spring Festival & Bazaar is this Saturday in Allen

Allen Asbury United Methodist Church in Allen will hold its Spring Festival & Bazaar from 9 a.m to 2 p.m. Saturday at the Allen Community Hall on Collins Wharf Road in Allen just past the church.

Food includes fried oyster sandwiches, homemade soup, chicken salad sandwiches, hot dogs, and platters with green beans, homemade dumplings, roll, and choice of chicken salad or oyster fritter. Breakfast sandwiches will be available until 10 a.m.

Come early to get the best selection at the bake table, which as always will be loaded with homemade goodies including Maryland beaten biscuits and sweet potato biscuits.

There will also be a children’s craft area, local vendors (leatherwork, beaded jewelry, homemade chocolates including chocolate Easter eggs, and more), plants and flowers, and featured Allen artist Doug Rayfield to browse.

Outdoor yard sale tables are available, weather permitting, opening at 9 a.m. as well. Tables are available for $10. Please call 410-749-5650 to reserve your table or get more information.

All proceeds benefit Allen Asbury United Methodist Church, with a portion of the proceeds from this event supporting the church’s outreach to the Christian Shelter.
